Sunday, April 7th - Spring Season Kick-Off Carnival [Facebook]
After the Sunday 5:15pm mass, Apostolist will kick off the Spring Season in grand style with our first-ever carnival! The Parish Center will be converted into a three story carnival so join us as you test your luck in the ring toss, or have your face painted, or eat some hand made cotton candy. We look forward to gathering the Apostolist community together for this epic kickoff and of ourse, the unveiling of our Spring 2013 Season! Parish Center, 6:30pm-9:00pm.

Saturday, April 13th - Bingo Night w/ Mustard Seed Guild: A Fundraiser for Orphans [Facebook]
B-I-N-G-O! Calling all Bingo Players! Get your stampers ready and come join us for an evening of food, drink and this classic game to raise money for the Mission Trip of Mustard Seed Guild to the Hogar Belen Orphanages in Nicaragua. Sunday, April 14th - Conversations: Catholic and Dating
We're young Catholic adults and in one of the most fast-paced, competitive, and arguably secular cities in the country ... at one point or another, you know this topic has crossed your mind! After mass, guest speaker and theologian Donna Freitas joins Apostolist for a lively conversation on what it means to date as a Catholic. Parish Center, 6:30pm-9:00pm.

Saturday, April 20th - New York Cares Day Spring 2013 (Registration required by April 12)
Join our team to repaint park benches and rake up leaves and debris at Cunningham Park in Queens to get it ready for the spring season! Bus transportation will be provided to/from the park. Register at http://www.newyorkcaresday.org/TeamApostolist and use the discount code "NYCDS13HALF." Bus to leave Manhattan by 8:15am, scheduled to work in the park from 9:00am-3:00pm, with the bus bringing us back.

Sunday, April 21st - Springtime Rosary w/ OSP
Spring is upon us, so let us take this time this Sunday, April 21, to pray the Glorious Mysteries for life, growth, hope and renewal for the St. Paul’s community with our friends at Out@StPaul. Meet at the back of the Church by the Welcome Bookstore at 4:00pm. If it is warm enough, we will walk to the Fordham Gardens to pray. If not, we will pray in the cozy, meditative South Tower/Adoration Chapel inside the Church.

Saturday, May 4th - Mother’s Day Service Event w/ GSS
Volunteer to celebrate mothers/female role models with the kids in Good Shepherd Services' Bronx Beacon Program at MS45 through a creative art project and character-building exercise. MS 45 in the Bronx, 11:00am-2:00pm, two meeting times/places: Group 1 at the steps of St. Paul's at 10:00am, and Group 2 at MS 45 at 11:00am.

Sunday, May 5th - Spring Homeless Banquet [Facebook]
Come volunteer to serve a warm meal and spend the afternoon with our brothers and sisters in need. 12:00pm-3:30pm, enter through the Parish Center.

Friday, May 10th - Apostolist Bowling Night [Facebook]
Slip on some rented shoes and hit the lanes at Frames Bowling Alley (Port Authority) for some friendly bowling competition! 7:30pm-9:30pm.

Sunday, May 12th - Mother's Day Rosary w/ OSP
Join us as we team up with Out@StPaul to offer thanks and prayer for all mothers. We will pray the Joyful Myseries, where Mary's own mothergood takes place. We will also pray for the intentions of the community. If the weather is nice, we will walk to the Fordham garden and pray among the beautiful flowers. If it is cold and rainy, we will pray in the cozy South Tower chapel with the lovely mosaic. Meet at the Welcome Bookstore at 4:00pm.

Saturday, May 18th - Kickball Game w/ OSP
Whose ready for some kickball? Apostolist and Out@StPaul will be meeting up on Great Lawn Field #5, waiting for a softball game to finish on the same field before we start our kickball game, so all are more than welcome to get to the park a little earlier to toss a frisbee, hangout or just lay in the park. Email us if you plan on joining us for the game so we know to look out for you at the park! Meet at Central Park, Great Lawn Field #5 (map), game from 6:00-8:00pm.

Sunday, May 19th - Catholic 101 - Part 1: Let's Talk About Sins, Baby...
In the first part of this Catholic 101 series, we will explore sin in today's world. What is sin? Why do we do it and how does it affect our relationships with God and others? We'll have a short presentation diving into the biblical and theological before opening a general discussion to see how we wrangle with sin in our daily lives. Parish Center, 6:30-9:00pm.

Wednesday, May 22nd - Catholic 101: Part 2: Amazing Grace
We can't talk about sin without talking about grace - join us for the second part of this Catholic 101 series. Armed with a solid understanding of the nature of sin, we'll dive into God's answer to sin - Grace. Our discussion will again tackle how we can live in the world of sin with the gift of God's grace. The format will remain the same with a short presentation starting at 7:00pm and plenty of time for discussion and application. Parish Center, 6:30-9:00pm.

Sunday, June 2nd - Breaking Bread
Enjoy food and fellowship at a neighborhood restaurant after mass. Local restaurant TBA, 6:30-8:30pm.

Saturday, June 8th - Father's Day Service Event w/ GSS
Volunteer to celebrate fathers/male role models with the kids in Good Shepherd Services' Bronx Beacon Program at MS45 through reading and a creative art project.  MS 45 in the Bronx, 11:00am-2:00pm, meeting place/time TBA. 

Friday, June 14th - Apostolist After-Work Dancing
Show off your moves and learn different styles of popular dances! Parish Center, 6:30pm-9:00pm.

We'll sort through incoming donations to distribute to needy New Yorkers, 11:00-2:00pm at the New York Cares warehouse in Midtown.

Who said you can't have a classy social in the dead of winter? 6:30-8:30pm in the Parish Center.

Saturday, February 2nd - Volleyball with OSP
It will be like summer in February when we head to an indoor volleyball court and bump, set, spike! 2:00-4:00pm at Xavier High School Gym, 30 West 16th St.

Saturday, February 9th - Valentine's Volunteer Day with Good Shepherd Services

Card making, cookie decorating, and learning about what it means to show love to others, with the kids in the GSS Bronx Beacon program. 11:00-2:00pm at MS 45 in the Bronx.

Come walk the island of Manhattan as we participate in the 4th Annual Pilgrimage of New York, visiting beautiful churches named after Mary to follow this year's theme of "Honoring Mary, Our Mother."

Sunday, March 24th - Palm Sunday Potluck
Bring your favorite side dish, dessert or a beverage to share for an Apostolist family potluck dinner after mass, 6:30-8:30pm in the Parish Center.

Wednesday, March 27th - Holy Week Mass and Adoration
Celebrate a special Holy Week mass followed by adoration and reflection, 6:30-8:00pm in the Crypt Chapel.

Monday, November 26th - Winter's Eve
St. Paul’s once again joins the neighborhood-wide Winter’s Eve annual festival! We’ll be drinking cider, decorating Christmas cookies, listening to a holiday concert (8:00pm), singing carols, and getting into the Christmas spirit. Stop by the Church between 6:00-9:00pm.

Wednesday, November 28th - Advent Catholic 101
Start off the Advent season of Well Versed (the Apostolist Bible Study at St. Paul the Apostle) with an introduction to the theology behind the Advent season.

Sunday, December 2nd - Advent Community Art Project
You don’t need to be an artist to express your inner Advent! The entire St. Paul’s community is invited to participate in this very special project. The fun kicks off on Sunday, December 2nd after 5:15 mass!

Saturday, December 8th - Card & Ornament Making with GSS
We’re headed to the Bronx to create holiday greeting cards & ornaments with the kids in Good Shepherd Services Beacon Program! The kids will be distributing the items at a nearby Senior Center. Meet at the Parish Center/Bronx Middle School 45, 11:00am-2:00pm.

Sunday, December 9th - Breaking Gingerbread
Enjoy fellowship, food, and Christmas spirit at a neighborhood restaurant after 5:15 mass! 6:30-8:00pm. Meet in the back of church.

Saturday, December 15th - St. Nicholas Project
We will join with Catholic Charities to help care for the most vulnerable families in NYC by volunteering at their annual Kmart Shopping Day. We will help shop for those in need to provide them with essential items such as coats, hats, gloves, sweaters, and blankets to help them stay warm throughout the winter season.

Sunday, December 16th - Rosary Advent Special
Join us as we team up with OSP and pray the Joyful Mystery for our community’s intentions. Meet at the Parish Center at 4:00pm.

Sunday, December 23rd - Church Decorating
Tis’ the season for help with decorating the church for the Christmas season. Join us in fellowship as the YA Choir leads us in carols and snacks are provided. Meet in the back after the 5:15pm Mass.

Stroll through the park as we pray for the intentions of our community, followed by fellowship! Meet at 63rd Street and Central Park West at 4pm.

Sunday, September 16th - Sing & Learn
Kick off this Fall’s young adult choir season with a casual mixer followed by rehearsal. If you like to sing at Mass or want to play instruments for our ensemble, meet in the Parish Center (405 W 59th St) at 6:30 pm.

Wednesday, September 19th - Mass in Central Park
Celebrate the start of autumn with mass in the park. Meet at 63rd Street and Central Park West at 7:00pm. Following mass, we'll have the opportunity to get to know our fellow Apostolist members better.

Saturday, September 29th - CFY Workshop
Volunteer with a local non-profit organization that works to help families use technology in education 11:45am-4:30pm. See Facebook for details.

Saturday, October 6th - Literacy Day
Join us for a fun day with youth from Good Shepherd Services’ Bronx Beacon Center. We’ll be reading with kids, helping with activities, and sharing lunch together. Meet at the Parish Center. 10:30am-1:30pm.

Saturday, October 13th - New York Cares Day
Come join thousands of New Yorkers in a day of service. We’ll be painting, cleaning, and organizing a city school. So, roll up your sleeves and show New York how much you care! 9:30am-3:30pm. Register at www.newyorkcaresday.org/TeamApostolist.

After 5:15 mass, we'll head to a local eatery for food and fellowship. Meet in the back of the church.

Wednesday, October 24th - Catholic 101
Pope Benedict has declared Oct. 11, 2012 - Nov. 24, 2013 as the Year of Faith to “Rediscover the journey of faith so as to shed ever clearer light on the joy and renewed enthusiasm of the encounter with Christ.” Come and take a journey of faith with Fr. Gil and shine some light on your own faith. Meet at the Parish Center at 7:00 pm.

Saturday, October 27th - Pumpkin-Palooza Brunch 
Feed your Halloween cravings this Saturday at St. Pauls' Parish Center.  Enjoy a homemade pancake brunch guaranteed to fuel your weekend escapades, plus a chance to sample Fr. Steve's famous ciders, yum!  Pumpkin beer will be on tap, but in the spirit of trick-or-treat we encourage you to bring a "spirited" beverage to share!

Sunday, November 11th - Apostolist Presents... Busted Halo
Sip some delicious cider and stroll through an interactive exhibition to learn more about Busted Halo, a national media outreach to young adult spiritual seekers, based right here at St. Paul's.

Saturday, November 17th - Prayer & Hot Cocoa
Let’s end the Fall season by praying for the intentions of our community, followed by fellowship over hot cocoa. Meet at the Parish Center at 4pm.

Summer 2012

Young adults, hit a home-run this summer with us!

July 5th - Mass in Central Park
Celebrate Mass in the beautiful surroundings of Central Park. Meet us on the west side of the park at 63rd Street and Central Park West at 7:00pm.

July 16th - Bowling Night with Good Shepherd
We'll be hosting a group of kids living in a Good Shepherd Services group home for a fun night of bowling and pizza! Each young adult volunteer is asked to sponsor one kid as their buddy/mentor for the evening. 6-8pm at Bowlmor Union Square.

July 25th - Catholic 101: Theology Throwdown
Join us as we explore Transubstantiation, Trinity, and Theology in the Parish Center at 7:00pm. If you are wondering what these three T's mean, or how they affect your life, stop by and join the discussion with a Paulist Father and fellow Apostolist members.

July 29th through August 12th - Back-to-School Drive
Partnering with Good Shepherd Services, we'll be collecting back-to-school supplies for needy NYC kids throughout the first two weeks of August, including pencils, erasers, crayons, folders, notebooks, rulers, glue, etc.

August 1st - Movie Night on the Hudson
Come out for a free movie night on Pier 1 at the Hudson River Park. Meet at 6:30pm to stake out a spot, or come by when you can! Bring a blanket or chair and some snacks to share. "Amelie" will start at 8:30pm.

August 12th - Kickin' It Back Old School
After Mass we'll round up the Back-to-School Drive by stuffing backpacks with the collected supplies, followed by an old-school classic: pizza & game night! We'll order the pizza, while you dust off and bring in classic game gems (some ideas: Operation, Boggle, Whac-A-Mole, Mouse Trap, Sorry!) Meet in the Parish Center, 6:30pm-8:30pm.

August 19th - Breaking Bread
Join us after mass as we head to a local eatery for food and fellowship. Meet in the back of church after 5:15 mass.

August 24th through August 26th - Young Adult Retreat
Come and spend a weekend outside of the city for our summer retreat to reflect and rejuvenate! We'll leave the city Friday evening, and return Sunday afternoon.

September 9th - Ice Cream Social
Bring your friends and favorite toppings as we team up with OSP to say goodbye to summer. Meet after 5:15 mass for some good old fashioned fun and fellowship on the rooftop.

Well Versed, the Bible study at St. Paul the Apostle, will continue on Wednesday evenings at 7PM until 7/18.
Apostolist Prayer Team meets every other Saturday, 4:00-5:00pm, in the Parish Center starting 6/30.
