Apostolist presents: The Season of the Spirit 2009


For young adults in their 20's and 30's, join us this season for:


May 3: Cinco de Mayo Festival

Help us celebrate the end of cold weather with Mexican food, drinks, and music.
Sunday, 6:30 pm, at St. Paul Parish Center (405 W 59th St between 9th & 10th Ave).

May 8: Men's Basketball Night

Shoot some hoops with young Catholic men from around the city. This one's just for the guys.
Friday, 6:30 pm, at DeWitt Clinton Park (54th Street & 11 Avenue)

May 8: Ladies’ Bake Date

If you like to bake or want to learn, come for an afternoon of baking in the Parish Center kitchen. Bring your recipes; we'll have basic ingredients. Then we'll sell the desserts we make at a bake sale on May 10th after Mass!
Saturday, 1:30 pm, at St. Paul Parish Center (405 W 59th St between 9th & 10th Ave).

May 13: Young Adult Mass at The Crypt Chapel

Come celebrate the Lord’s Supper in St. Paul the Apostle’s historic Crypt Chapel.
Wednesday, 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM, enter through St. Paul’s Parish Center (405 W 59th St)

May 30: Saturday at the Cloisters

Come uptown for an afternoon of scripture, faith sharing and medieval art at beautiful Fort Tyron Park.
Saturday, 1 pm to 4 pm. We will meet up at St. Paul’s Parish Center (405 W 59th St) at 1 pm.

Jun 5-7: Weekend Retreat (New Dates!)

Escape to beautiful Lake George for a weekend of spiritual renewal and Summer fun. Save the dates!

For young adults in their 20's and 30's, join us this Lenten season for:


Feb 25: Ash Wednesday: Beginning of Lent

Distritubtion of ashes at the top of every hour.
Masses at 6:30 am, 7:30 am, 12:10 pm, 5:30 pm, and 7 pm

Feb 27: Men's Basketball Night

Shoot some hoops with young Catholic men from around the city. All skill levels welcome.
Friday, 7 pm, at St. Francis Xavier HS (55 W 15th St.)

Mar 4: Lenten Mass at the Crypt Chapel

Celebrate and atone in St Paul's historic crypt chapel
Wednesday, 7:30 pm, enter through St. Paul's Parish Center (405 W 59th St.)

Mar 13 & Mar 27: Fish Fry After the Stations of the Cross

Join us after Stations for fish, fellowship, and faith sharing.
Fridays, starting at 7 pm, at the Convent (120 W 60th St.)

Apr 5: Homeless Banquet

Come prepare and serve hot meals to our homeless guests
Sundays, 11 am to 3 pm, enter through St. Paul's Parish Center (405 W 59th St.)

Apostolist Presents: His the Season 2008



For young adults in their 20’s and 30’s, join us this winter season for:

 

Advent Mass

Prepare the way and welcome the season in St. Paul the Apostle’s historic Crypt Chapel.
Thursday, December 4th, 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM , enter through St. Paul’s Parish Center (405 W 59th St, between 9th and 10th Ave).

Sing for St. Paul

Interested in joining a new young adult choir for the Sunday 5:15 PM Mass? Come to learn more at this festive social.
December 7th, after the 5:15 PM Mass at St. Paul’s Parish Center (405 W 59th St).

Faith Sharing Series: To Live in Christ

Explore and discuss the meaning of prayer in small groups with guided reflections and Scripture. Each session will have a different focus. Attend one or as many as you would like.
Sundays -- December 14th, December 21st, January 11th, and January 18th -- after the 5:15 PM Mass at the Parish Center. (We skip two weeks during Christmas.)

Homeless Banquet

Come help prepare and decorate the environment (11 AM), then help serve (1 PM) hot meals to our homeless guests.
Sunday, February 8th, 11 AM – 3 PM, in the Auditorium under the Church. Enter through the Parish Center
